Through your support, we are able to fund a range of philanthropic endeavours around the world, in line with our mission to positively impact people and the planet.
Today, Armadillo partners with ten non-profit organisations across Australia, the United States, India and Nepal, while continuing to support many others globally through in-kind contributions, financial donations and paid volunteer time.
KANTILAL VIDYA MANDIR SCHOOL, INDIA
Armadillo is a longstanding sponsor of the Kantilal Vidya Mandir School, a co-educational institution in India attended by many of our artisans’ children. Since 2014, Armadillo has fully subsidised all overheads, including staff salaries, textbooks, teaching aids, school uniforms, furniture, equipment, utilities and maintenance.
CARE & FAIR, INDIA
Since 2014, Armadillo has been a member of Care & Fair, a not-for-profit organization that advocates in support of people working in the carpet production industries in India and Pakistan. We also require all our suppliers to hold a current membership.
In addition to our annual membership, we fund Care & Fair projects in the rural knotting region of India. These projects focus on providing school infrastructure, resources and basic medical care to children experiencing poverty to help keep them in school.
STARS FOUNDATION, AUSTRALIA
In Australia, we partner with Stars Foundation, which was established in 2015 to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls across Australia. The program creates culturally safe and supportive environments that enable students to attend school, complete Year 12 and transition confidently into further education, training or employment.
GIRLS INC., USA
In the United States, we support the Los Angeles, New York and Alameda chapters of Girls Inc., a national non-profit founded in 1864, empowering girls facing social and economic barriers.
SUNRISE CHILDREN’S ASSOCIATION INC., NEPAL
In Nepal, we support the Sunrise Children’s Association Inc., a grassroots charity established in 2005 to give children affected by poverty, abuse and neglect every opportunity possible to grow up safely with their own families and communities.
SHREE MANGAL DVIP BOARDING SCHOOL, NEPAL
The Shree Mangal Dvip Boarding School in Nepal, provides free education, housing and medical care for over 500 children from the most vulnerable and remote Himalayan mountain villages. It aims to preserve their culture, language and Buddhist way of life and equip them to help their own people when they grow up.
STUDIO A, AUSTRALIA
Studio A supports artists with intellectual disability and neurodivergence, providing professional development and career pathways in the arts. Armadillo’s support contributes to educational initiatives, including the Creative Leaders Program, where artists develop curriculum-aligned resources for schools that challenge perceptions around intellectual disability.
GRADES OF GREEN, USA
In the United States, we support Grades of Green - a non-profit that strives to make environmental protection second nature in young minds. It delivers hands-on environmental education programs for schools, helping students understand the importance of protecting the planet while empowering them to take action within their communities.
